Texas Online CHL Class
Now Russell’s Guns and Gear can offer you a way to get your Texas Online CHL Class, quickly and easily! This course can be taken from your home, at your pace. It is easy and fun, and is approved by the Texas Department of Public Safety and valid state wide.
WHY SHOULD I TAKE THE TEXAS ONLINE CHL CLASS?
Here are two important reasons you SHOULD get your Texas License to Carry:
#1 – Reciprocity – If you travel to a state that DOES NOT have Constitutional Carry, but Does have a reciprocity agreement with Texas, you will need your CHL to carry legally.
#2 – Having your Texas CHL means that your background check has already been done! This means each time you purchase a new firearm, you will get it much faster than someone who does not, even that day!
SHOOTING PROFICIENCY FOR THE TEXAS CHL
Once you’ve completed our Texas CHL Class, simply download or print the certificate of training, and bring it to a local CHL instructor of your choice to complete the paperwork. He or she will take you through the shooting proficiency portion of the class to complete your certification. If you have any experience shooting a firearm, this portion is VERY easy to pass!
EXEMPT FROM THE SHOOTING PROFICIENCY
There are certain people that are exempt from taking the shooting proficiency portion of the Texas CHL class. They are exempt from the shooting portion of the CHL because of their profession. Those that are NOT required to take the shooing portion are:
Active Duty Military or Veterans that have completed training within the last 10 years
Texas State Correctional Officers or “CO’s” who are automatically exempt and,
County Jailers that have completed firearms training as part of their employment.
